HIV infections down 12% among world’s youth

HIV infections among the world's youth dropped by 12 percent over the last decade, but fell short of the 25 percent target set by world leaders, a UNICEF report.

HIV infections among the world's youth dropped by 12 percent over the last decade, but fell short of the 25 percent target set by world leaders, a UNICEF report.

Young women are hardest hit, representing more than 60 percent of all young people living with HIV -- a figure that jumps to 72 percent in sub-Saharan Africa.
