Laryngitis is a viral infection and can last for about two weeks, but definitely not for a few months. I suggest that you go to your GP, to make sure of the diagnosis. A hoarse voice for a few months could indicate oesophageal reflux, especially at night, that moves over to the larynx, or a postnasal drip, or nodes on the vocal cords. Good luck and I hope that you feel better soon.
