Colds and flu

Question

Q.

Flu for the past 3 weeks

I had the flu for almost 3 weeks, the first two weeks being the worst.  I have recovered but still have sinus headache and a weird taste in my mouth.  Could this be remnants of flu? I have been having sinus problems for years, due to grinding and clenching teeth. I also believe that I have TMJ.

Hi there

Yes, these could be 'after-effects' of the flu. If the sinus headache worsens, rather go to your doctor, because this could indicate sinus infection (sinusitis) for which you would need antibiotics. Good luck and I hope that you feel better soon.
