Colds and flu

Q.

Chronic Post Nasal Drip

I use Andolex-C to treat my chronic post nasal drip. I spray it in my nose and throat. It works fairly well for me as I have tried just about every medicine and home remedies without success. The question now is how safe is it to spray Andolex UP my nose? I am most likely just treating the symptom and not the cause, but at least I am feeling better.

Hi Jan

Andolex is not intended for nasal use and the ingredients are too strong for the mucous membranes of the nasal passages. You might cause lasting damage. I suggest that you rather use a normal saline rinse for the nasal passages, or a steroid nasal spray that is safe for long term use. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
