Q.

Flu shot

when i was 12 years old, i would go to the doctor when i was sick, get an injection and after 2 days im fine. Nowadays, we dont get that shot, all we get is treatment, and treatment after treatment, why have the doctors stopped the shot, it works?

Hi Samantha

I am not sure which shot you are referring to? These days there are many different "shots", such as the flu vaccine, but this you get before you become ill, as prevention. One can also have an antibiotic injection - this is still being given, but only if it is absolutely necessary. Doctors are trying to give antibiotics only when indicated to prevent worsening the antibiotic resistance that have developed (due to overuse of anitibiotics). Hope this answers your question. Have a lovely weekend.
