Insulin levels high

My aunt is suffering from diabetes. For the last week she has been recording her levels. In the afternoons and evenings it reaches 33. In the morning it goes to 24 sometimes 19. She is following the diet given by the doctor and is on insulin injection. Is she insulin resistant?

Your aunt's glucose values are definitely not controlled and she must consult her doctor again. She would need to increase the number of units of insulin or add more insulin injections to achieve control - her doctor can advise her on what to do. There are different types of insulin regimens available so she must discuss it with her doctor.
In patients with type 2 diabetes part of the underlying problem is insulin resistance. It s difficult to say with the information I have, if your aunt is insulin resistant or just not optimally titrated.
