Hi

The decision to treat takes into account multiple factors(glucose levels(consistency of the levels, as opposed to the odd reading), baby's weight and waist circumference, how modifiable diet is, and gestational period.....i.e how many weeks pregnant). The decision needs to be taken by a doctor experienced in treating gestational diabetes, and therefore if your Obstetrician is unsure, then you will need to see an Endocrinologist.
