Q.

Finger bruising in testing

Recently my fingers have been bruising when I test for my blood sugars. That has never happened before. Can you help me?

Judy, can only be related to your technique - if you're using a softclix make sure needle always sharp enough and try not to squeeze to obtain blood specimen.

Also try washing your hands with soap and warm water and make sure you are rotating your sample sites from the outside of the finger to the inside.Try to stay away from the finger pads
