Dear Sam
A banana falls into the intermediate GI(glycemic index) range, and so can be eaten as they are also a source of fiber, vitamin C and potassium. They should not be eaten in large quantities and the amount will depend on your total carbohydrate intake for the day as determined by your meal plan. If you want to know how much it affects your glucose levels personally, then try and eat one on an empty stomach and check your levels before and 2 hours later.
