Dear Denise Souter

Losing weight is always hard regardless of being diabetic. The best way is to cut down on total calories, more so than the type of calories, for your body can only burn so many calories a day, and if you eat less than this, then weight loss will occur. Exercise requirements for weight loss are a lot and entail about 60-90 minutes every day. Exercise less than this amount will help you live longer regardless of weight loss and will also help with glucose control. The hypothyroidism will not affect your ability to lose weight if the levels are normal.
