Q.

Moisturizer for a diabetic

What face creams and body moisturizers are the very best for a 65 year old with Type 2 Diabetes? My skin is extremely dry. Is there anything that actually works?

Hi

Unfortunately I don't have a list of moisturizes particularly for the body and face that I can recommend, as normally the issue comes up with regards to the feet. High blood glucose levels can dehydrate one, so better glucose levels will help. If you have developed neuropathy, then this isn't reversable and moisturizes are the best way forward. Try and use milder soaps and shampoos, which are less likely to dry out the skin. If this isn't helping, then I suggest seeing a dermatologist to get the best advice  regarding specific products
