Hi
A diagnosis of diabetes is based on a glucose level and not an insulin level, and therefore you can't be called diabetic based on an insulin of 25.8.Insulin resistance is
an early stage of progression to diabetes, and is very much driven by
increasing weight. The best option to improve insulin resistance is therefore
to lose weight by modifying diet and exercise. Metformin is a medication that can help with insulin
resistance, and can delay progression to diabetes, but will not have a marked
effect on weight loss.
