Q.

Metformin pills

Taking two 500mg Metformin pills along with flow max eliminates my need to urinate during the night. I am 77 and have been in the state of pre-diabetic for 20 years, taking metformin. For the past 2 years, before I go to bed, I have been taking 2 flow max pill (doctor's advice) and 1 metformin pill (doctor subscription, 2/day). I randomly, or by accident, took 2 metformin pills along with the flow max one night before bedtime and had no urge to urinate during sleep. One week later, the effect is still the same. Is there an explanation?

Hi

I don't have an explnantion for you, except if your glucose levels were raised on the 1 tablet a day, and on the 2 tablets they were better. Higher glucose levels can make one pass more urine There is no drug-drug interaction between the medications
