Q.

Dosage of Novomix

Please help me currently using Novomix -taking 30in the morning-can I substitute to Actraphane HM (ge) what dosage may I take as I am on 500mg metformin as well with insulin morning 30 n nite 10. Thank you in advance for your help

Hi

Novomix is an analogue insulin(modified human insulin) as opposed to Actraphane(human insulin). The Novomix short acting insulin component acts quicker and lasts shorter than the short acting insulin in the Actraphane. You could swop from one to another, but you would need to do this under the  supervision of your doctor
