Q.

Normal Levels

Hi there, I would just like to find out if I should be exploring further into this or to accept Dr's diagnosis. My 8year old daughter has been complaining of weakness to the point to her shaking. She also has glasses and has been complaining everything is fuzzy again, so took her to the optometrist who couldn't find anything wrong. She is holding books to her nose again and standing in front of TV again so I know she is telling the truth. She also dances and never had a problem like this and now suddenly can't even get through a dance routine. So took her to Dr who found Keytones in urine so he asked for bloods for a glucose test which came back at 3.8 he also did a full blood count which was normal but her iron was on the low side but nothing significant. He said everything is normal and not to worry. I just want to basically get a second opinion on then at least I can rule out worrying about glucose. Thanks so much!

Hi

I can't offer a 2nd opnion, as this a site for general information. The glucose level is likely fine, and certainly isn't high. It is on the lower side of normal, but may well be fine for her. In terms of her other symptoms, if they persist, then she will likely need further assessment
