Q.

Type 2 diabetic patient and on Galvusmet and Glyclizide

I have been on this medication for 15years but have not had any complications. I do take Atasvavin for cholesterol control. What are the risks and any expert advice to manage it better.

Hi

There are no particular long term safety issues with the drugs. All drugs do have side-effects, but if you haven't had any, then they aren't an issue. Also you can't particularly do anything to avoid the side-effects. You can only manage your glucose levels to keep them under control, as high glucose levels carries complications.
