Q.

Blood sugar and insulin levels

My blood sugar level was recently 4.3 4 hours after eating; my fasting insulin level was 17.1. What does this combination signify and what should I be doing?

Hi

Your fasting glucose levels are normal. Insulin levels are slightly up, but we don't normally measure insulin levels as they are not a treatment target. If you are overweight, then I suggest reducing your weight, and increasing exercise
