Q.

High blood sugar

Good day I'm a type 2 diabetic for a year now. I'm very active and eat healthy. My bloodsugar is +- 14 in the morning and over 30 at night. But I have no symptoms except drinking a lot of water. I've drank a lot of water even before my diagnoses. My Dr did adjustt my medication. Doesn't seem to work. He gave me three months (when my next bloodtest is due) before putting me on insulin. I'm just wondering why I don't feel the effect of high bloodsugar? Thank you kindly

Hi

If blood sugar levels have been high for a while, the body can adapt to the levels, and therefore you may not always have symptoms. It does not mean that you won't eventually develop complications if they stay up without symptoms, so you do need to get them down again
