Q.

Fruits and Vegetables

A boy age 31 and currently had hba1c 5.5% (less than 5.7 i.e prediabetes start) , all other tests like lipid profile are perrfectly normal BMI is 22. His father has diabetes but he got at the age of 50. It was last question. You replied that he do not have any risk except family history. Can he eat more fruits and vegetables as he likea to eat fruits and vegetables daily( like 2 banana, 1 orange, 2-3 dates, 1 cocumber , carrot etc. daily) (his weight is maintened from long time and body is slim). Also is there any care for eating sweet things or any other special precaution or simply no need to think too much like this?

If the fruit is causes the weight to go up, then it can increase the risk for diabetes, but if your weight is stable, then it isn't an issue
