Freestyle Libre sensor to manage diabetes

Dear Doctor, Yesterday I had appointment with my endocrinologist, my a1c is 12.4. I am T1D over 12 years and does finger prick to check myglucose readings. My endo suggested to use FreeStyle Libre sensor with Blucon transmitter. I am not sure if this is necessary to use as I have limited money. One of my T1D friend also told me his endo suggested 3 months ago same to her and she is using them, now here A1c is 7.2 Thank you so much!!

continuous glucose sensors that test your glucose every 5 mins are definitely the way forward, as they give a lot more information about what your glucose levels are doing and how  to adjust your glucose levels better. Unfortunately cost is an issue, but if you can afford it, then it is definitely worth using
