Low carb diet

Does low carb diet help with pre-existing type 1 diabetes in pregnancy? In terms of blood sugar control during pregnancy?

A low carb diet can help with blood glucose control in pregnancy, but no one knows the effect of a low carb diet in pregnancy on the foetus, and hence there are no formal recommendations. You would have to discuss this with your obstetrician
