Hi

Insulin doses can be varied according to the types of meals and particularly with regards to the carbohydrates. This practice is called carb counting, and to do it well, you will need to learn to carb count. You will also need a doctor or educator or dietitian to work out your insulin to carb ratio, i.e how much insulin you need for a certain amount of carbohydrate.
