Thanks, Annie, for this pleasant message, which has just reached me. Yes, this period must be confusing to the animals in our families. I think in some ways they're reacting rather like humans : my cat was at first delighted and a bit puzzled that I was around so much ; but is now getting used to it, but also, like human families, she now occasionally gets a bit irritated : to the point that I wonder what she used to get up to when I wasn't around !
I wonder how some shrink colleagues are managing in their work. I presume they can still see patients in their rooms. But unless they have a very large consulting room, well, when I worked in the university hospital, my clinical room was so tiny, that if we had to keep a meter or two separation, my patients would have had to sit outside in the corridor ! And we're so used to watching and taking into account people's emotional expressions, it would be odd if we both had to wear masks
