Cough syncope occurs when intractable cough impedes venous return into the chest.  This drops the blood pressure leading to the blackout.  Often there may be other cardiovascular disturbances.  You should be referred to a lung specialist and somebody needs to look at your heart blood vessels and brain to make sure that there are no other underlying abnormalities or other causes.  Cough syncope does occur but it is very rare.
