Global move needed to battle cancer

A broad international effort is needed to halt the rapid spread of cancer in poor and middle-income countries, leaders from world cancer organisations said at a meeting.

The UN meeting "presents a monumental opportunity to put cancer on the global agenda," said Allen Lichter, the ASCO's chief executive officer.
