Q.

Large anorectal bleeding

Had anorectal surgery last week with very minimal bleeding and lots of pain. For the past 4 hours i have bled profusely including passing out a large piece of congealed blood. Do i need an emergency room now

Dear Anonymous, thank you for sharing your story. You definitely need to be seen by your treating physician - preferably in the emergency room. Any form of bleeding so long after surgery requires immediate treatment. Please do not hesitate to report to the emergency room today! (MCH).
