Dear Nia, thank you for contacting Health24.

Stage 4 Cervical Cancer means that the cancer has spread to nearby organs or other parts of the body. Stage 4 is divided into two sub-groups, namely Stage 4A or Stage 4B. In Stage 4A, the Cancer has spread to the bladder and/or rectum but NOT to the lymph nodes or distant sites.

It is absolutely impossible to predict any time frame to your Mother’s condition as each individual is unique and different. Furthermore, it is important to be aware of the general health of a person as well as their level of fitness and the presence of any possible co-existing medical conditions.

It is suggested that you make an appointment with your Mother’s treating physician and ask him/her for information and advice. I would like to take this opportunity of expressing my best wishes to your Mother and the rest of the family who are affected by her diagnosis. (MCH).

The information provided does not constitute a diagnosis of your condition. You should consult a medical practitioner or other appropriate health care professional for a physical exmanication, diagnosis and formal advice.
