Q.

Stage 2 breast cancer

I had DCIS at aged 31 and had a lumpectomy and radiation. Now 12 years later I felt a lump and went to the breast clinic in June, the nurse I've been seeing for years didn't feel anything and did an sonogram and didn't see anything, she said it was possibly scar tissue. When I went back in September for my mammo results she felt the lump then and after numerous mammos and sonos and a triple biopsy on the lump and 2 areas of calcification I have been told I have a tumor that's T2 NO and the areas of calcification are DCIS and lobular cancer. Do you think my prognosis would have been different if the lump was tested back in June?
