Shortness of breath

I have been experiencing shortness of breath every time during my sleep which gets me up till the morning, this started a week ago and I have no history of asthma.

You should definitely see your doctor and get asthma checked out.  There are many causes of shortness of breath during sleep including heart problems and different lung problems.  He/she will need to go through these and prescribe appropriate medication and undertake appropriate investigations.
