Hello I have had asthma for 20 years. I got this as an adult.  I have been hospitalized more times than I want to count. I currently am on Albuter nebulized, Duoneb Nebulized, Bovana, and Pulmicort neb Neutralized. The pulmonologist just added Zolair every 28 days to my meds. I still have to go on steroids several times a year. In January I was on them over 60 days. Do you have any suggestions to any changes I can make. I get bronco spasms with steroid inhalers and yes I have tried them all. Everyone always puts in their articles that asthma can be controlled but I seem like a lost cause. The only true allergy I have is dust.

It sounds you have a severe persistent asthma.  This is a complex entity that is best sorted out by a lung specialist.  There are several other conditions that can masquerade as asthma or co-morbidities that can make asthma worse.  There are several new treatments for asthma including new inhalers, injections, and also heat therapy called bronchial thermoplasty that you can look up.  I myself am a pulmonologist and happy to explore this further if you wish.  You can contact Laurene on 0214047650 or and she can advise you on how to make an appointment.
