Q.

Loud, heavy breathing

My husband breathes very loud. I can sometimes hear him from the next room. it is annoying. his nose is always congested and makes sounds as if bubbles are popping in his nose all the time. when he speaks the mucus comes out the sides of his mouth. he also snores very loud, jerks in his sleep. somtimes he is awake and snoring. he gets mad at me for telling him how he sounds, especially the sounds coming from his nose

What you describe is obstructive sleep apnea.  It's a condition where the air supply to the lungs are cut off during sleeping.  It is a dangerous condition which predisposes one to heart attacks and strokes.  He needs to go to a respiratory clinic or sleep specialist where they can do a sleep study to confirm the diagnosis.  Once confirmed, it is usually treating using a special machine.
