painful gout symptoms

I have all the symptoms of gout, swollen big toe, swelled up foot and ankle. It is Extremely painful to walk and it aches horribly at night. Can anything be prescribed for pain?

You need to take colchicine for the acute attack, together with voltaren if necessary. You will need to be started on allopurinol once the attack has subsided.
