Rheumatoid arthritis - what can we do to help my dad?

Good day My dad was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Our gp has been downplaying his symptoms for the last 4 years as symptoms of grief since my brother passed away, but finally we have an answer that makes more sense. I was wondering if there is anything we can do/buy that will make my dad's life easier and maybe help with the arthritis (slow it down, lessen pain, anything). Thank you!

The best treatment for RA is methotrexate combined with folic acid.

Anti-inflammatories may help with the symptoms.

I was on methotrexate with frolic acid for a long while then it made me feel really sick so bad that I could not stand even the smell of cooking so I was put on injections which helped for a while but the sickness soon came back was then put on hydochoiroquin which so far has helped
