Left postero-lateral protrusion at C4-C5 compressing upon left exiting canal

Hi doctor, I am having neck pain radiating to left arm. In my MRI Report it's stated that " At Left Postero-lateral Protrusion at C4-C5 compressing upon left exiting neural canal" and rest all are normal can your please guide me for best treatment. I want to avoid surgery for that, or refer me to some other doctor in group for advise. Thanks Shahzad (Pakistan)

The symptoms you describe are compatible with nerve compression. Surgery is usually indicated, but sometimes using high-dose cortisone helps reduce swelling around the cord and this may give some relief.

I suspect you will end up needing surgery to decompress the neural canal at that level.
