Q.

I love the fragrance of Child perfume but develop a skin rash when I use it.

I have stopped using it of course but would like to know what ingredient would cause the rash so I can avoid it in the future. How can I find out the ingredient of Child perfume that causes an itchy rash?

Many ingredients in perfume can cause Contact Dermatitis such a Parfum, Musk, Cinnamic alcohol, Geraniol and even preservatives and chemicals such as parabens in the perfume. Best to apply a small amount of any new perfume to the skin of the forearm and monitor for any itching or redness over a few days, that my be the first sign of allergic sensitisation. You would have to contact the manufacturer to get a list of ingredients as these don't seem to be displayed on the perfume bottle.
