Q.

I have congestion several times per day

I suffer from congestion several times per day. I have been to an ENT without any positive results. I have tried saline nasal sprays but the only nasal sprays that work are Iliadin,, Sinutab etc. These sometimes cause insomnia though. I have been using these every night for the past two years or so. I don't know what else to do.

You suffer with a condition called Rhinitis Medicamentosa. The is caused by prolonged use of decongestant sprays and drops such as  Iliaden, Otrivine and Sudafed. The nasal membranes develop rebound congestion and blockage as soon as the effect of the decongestant wears off and the condition gets progressively worse. You will need to be weaned off the decongestants onto a low-does steroid nasal spray (but initially may need to be prescribed oral steroid tablets and nose drops to get you off the decongestants).
