Dry skin and itching does not necessarily relate to allergies. Many non-allergic causes may be contributing to dry itchy skin, such as an underachieve thyroid gland, iron deficiency, strong detergents in soaps and shower gels, and the pharmacy seem to suspect Scabies if they advised Tetmosol soap and white Permethrin lotion. Perhaps try an ointment-based moisturiser such as Emulsifying ointment which is very cheap and available without prescription.
