The situation you are in is certainly a difficult one. In all the assessments your son went through, what was the diagnosis he was given? I can see your subject line is 'ADD ADHD ...', which is his diagnosis? It seems your son has more than one difficulty and for this reason it is very difficult to state what, if any, medications may be beneficial. I would suggest having him assessed again as an adult as the tests he would have undergone as a child cannot give us a true reflection of where he is now. I wonder if your husband is undergoing any treatment for his Bipolar Disorder? It sounds as though your entire family is under quite a bit of stress at the moment and it should not be your sole responsibility to find the answers to these difficulties. There are a number of family centres which can provide counselling for the whole family as well as conduct the necessary assessments for your son. I'll be happy to pass on some contact information for some centres if you can let me know which area you are in.
