Please consult with a psychiatrist for a review of your son's medication, especially the dose and dosing schedule. A different formulation, e.g. OROS or MUPS methylphenidate can also be considered. Plese remember that medication should never be used in isolation - your son should also follow a healthy diet, sleep enough, and exercise. Furthermore, it is important that he is taught the necessary skills (e.g. study methods, time management and organizational skills) to be able to concentrate and work (eventually) independently. Class room interventions are also important.
