Medication not working

For the past two years my son has taken both stimulant and non stimulant medication for his ADHA but nothing has worked. We have done genetic testing and for the most part he has a green light on 90% of the drugs we've tried thus far. We started out slow, increased the dosage etc. How is it possible he hasn't responded to anything to help him? I read all the time that medication has been a game changer, but for us we haven't found anything to work.

Medication is effective in more than 70% of patients. However, medication alone is never the answer - it is crucial to also assist with therapy, school-based interventions, and regular exercise, sleeping enough, and a balanced diet. If "nothing" works, it is always important to revisit/re-assess the diagnosis, and also look for comorbid disorders.
