Contramyl or Neocon

My daughter was diagnoses with ADD and Dr. Kretzmer suggested Contramyl XP 18mg. My daughter is 6 years old. I've asked people's opinions on the Contramyl and people had different views, but it seems most people have a problem with the side effects. One person says rather Neocon...apparently it works the same, but no side effects. Your opinion?

The response to methylphenidate products (Ritalin, Concerta, Neucon, and Contramyl) varies between patients - and what is the best for one person, is not necessarily the best for another. I personally prefer to start a young child on short-acting methylphenidate (especially w.r.t. appetite suppression and to establish the best dosing schedule and dose), but it really does depend on the child. Please address your concerns with Dr Kretzmer.
