Momentum wins Silver Arrow Award

Momentum Medical Scheme Administrators (MMSA) was confirmed as one of the top two medical scheme administrators in the country when it won the Silver Arrow Award from PMR Africa this week.

In its 8th year running, the competition relies on interviews conducted by PMR with a random, national sample of 135 human resource directors, managers and senior managers dealing directly with employee medical aids.

MMSA received a score of 3.69 out of 5for its performance, with adjudication taking into consideration areas ranging from accuracy of information and statements to the adjudication of claims, call centre service, communication of benefit options, value-added initiatives and problem resolution capabilities.

"The most important benefit of a result like this one is that it gives our members the peace of mind that we will be there for them when they need us most," said MMSA Head of Service, Michael Temlett, after taking receipt of the prize. "On the one hand, the award underlines our intense focus on the consumer, while on the other it strengthens our resolve to continue making the improvements that are required to score 5 out of 5 next time.

"It is really important that we remain cognisant of the impact our daily actions have on the lives of our members," he continued. "Delivering sub-standard service in our industry could have serious consequences, which is why we have to continually review our systems and processes. Fortunately, we have the right people in place and results like this Silver Arrow Award confirm that we are firmly on the right track."
