Abused women need more protection

Women in abusive relationships are driven to extremes, some even incarcerated.

Women in abusive relationships are driven to extremes, some even incarcerated. According to the Correctional Services Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, more protection is need for women living in abusive conditions.

The criminal justice system (CJS) ministries would continue to work with other social partners to ensure that lasting solutions were found to the problem of the domination of women, "the oldest and most widespread form of oppression globally".
