I was immensely relieved to finally attach a medical name to the beast that haunted my body every month, glad to hear that I wasn't a chronic hypochondriac with an overactive imagination and a below-average pain threshold. But naming it doesn't make it go away. I was only at the start of a lifetime battle with endometriosis.
