Bobbi Kristina Brown was found bruised and unconscious, faced down  in her bathtub on 31 January in her Atlanta home, mirroring the death of her mother, Whitney Houston.

Brain damage

The Mirror Online reported that Bobbi Kristina Brown was moved from hospital to hospice care after being in a five month long coma.

“Yesterday it emerged that Bobby Kristina Brown had been moved to hospice care facility as her condition continues to deteriorate.”

In February, the 22-year-old was taken to Emory University Hospital where she went into a coma.

Although there were speculations in March that she was brain dead, the news website reported that Bobbi's family denied this allegation. This despite the fact that she has been moved from Emory University Hospital to Atlanta rehabilitation facility.

"The family denied reports that she was brain damaged and had been taken off life support", the Mirror Online reported at the time.

Continuing deterioration

By June, Bobbi's condition remained unchanged, although receiving the best medical treatment, her aunt Pat confirmed in a statement from the family.

"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate," she said according to CNN.

"As of today [24 June], she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now," she added.

As Bobbi was moved into hospice care, her boyfriend Nick Gordon was taken into questioning. He is now facing a lawsuit after reportedly being investigated over allegations of beating Bobbi and stealing from her whilst she was hospitalised.

“Even after Brown’s hospitalisation and while she was in a coma, Gordon accessed Brown’s bank account and stole $11 000 (about R130 000),” Bedelia Hargrove, Bobbi's court-appointed conservator, told People Magazine in a statement.
