Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, nutritionists say. "But how big or small is a serving?" you might ask.
Take action:
Two tablespoons (30ml) of vegetables count as a serving, as does a medium-sized piece of fruit (such as a whole, medium-sized apple, orange or pear), a bowl of salad, or a slice of a large fruit, such as melon or pawpaw. It doesn't matter whether the vegetables and fruits are raw or cooked. A small glass of fruit or vegetable juice also counts as a serving.
