Don't stop looking for another job, even if you're feeling unmotivated; check whether you’re eligible for unemployment benefits; keep busy – exercise, see friends, or do gardening; use the time at your disposal to give vent to your creative talents – draw, paint, write or do woodwork; keep your CV updated; and up your skills – learn to type or better your computer skills.
