Get some vitamin A

This vitamin, and betacarotene, help to boost immunity against disease. It also assists in the healing process of diseases such as measles and is recommended by the WHO.

Take action: Include at least one portion of a vitamin A-rich food in your diet per day, but bear in mind that these foods will add to your energy intake, so don't overdo it. Good natural sources of vitamin A include kidneys, liver, dairy products, green and yellow vegetables, pawpaw, mangoes, chilli pepper, red sorrel and red palm oil.
