Women have a wide choice of contraceptive methods, as detailed below. Men have only two – condoms and a vasectomy.

Choosing the right form of contraception is not always easy. It is important that you find one that suits your pocket, your state of health and your lifestyle. Take a look at details regarding the different types of contraceptives that are available, and make your choice:

The pill can only be obtained from a doctor or family planning clinic after you've had a checkup. Make an appointment with your doctor, gynaecologist or urologist to discuss the contraceptive method that will be best for you.
