Proudly South African right? Learn your words

So the World Cup has unleashed the patriot inside of you. But you have one major shortcoming: you don't know the national anthem. We give the opportunity to save face.

You pride yourself on being a staunch Springbok supporter and your sense of patriotism is running sky-high. When the anthem starts playing, you jump up, ready to sing along but you are suddenly dumb-struck. Don’t stand there gulping for words, learn them! We'll help you out. Also check out the fun video below to help you along:

Nkosi sikelel' iAfrika
Maluphakanyisw' uphondo lwayo,
Yizwa imithandazo yethu,
Nkosi sikelela, thina lusapho lwayo.

Morena boloka setjhaba sa heso,
O fedise dintwa le matshwenyeho,
O se boloke, O se boloke setjhaba sa heso,
Setjhaba sa South Africa – South Afrika.

Uit die blou van onse hemel,
Uit die diepte van ons see,
Oor ons ewige gebergtes,
Waar die kranse antwoord gee,

Sounds the call to come together,
And united we shall stand,
Let us live and strive for freedom,
In South Africa our land.
